El miércoles pasado, les comentábamos lo bueno, emocionante y espectacularmente increíble que estuvo el concierto de U2 realizado en el Camp Nou de Barcelona el 30 de Junio. Esto no cambió mucho para los que vivieron de cerca el espectáculo de ayer 2 de Julio… salvo para algunos…

Es que la doble cara de este espectáculo tiene que ver con el lado negativo que seguramente tendrá que sufrir U2 ya que se abrió un expediente a la banda por parte del distrito de las Cortes del Ayuntamiento de Barcelona por ensayar hasta la medianoche y por el exceso de sonido.

Estaba fijado que los ensayos de U2 en el Camp Nou no se extendieran más de las 10 de la noche. Aparentemente esta disposición fue violada además de la que decía que el sonido de los conciertos no superara los 70 decibeles. Esto seguramente sea penado con una multa para la banda irlandesa.

Además otro aspecto negativo (que nada tiene que ver con los liderados por Bono) es que fue muy escasa la cantidad de transporte público para que la gente volviera a sus casas desde el Camp Nou.

De todas formas, es buena la impresión que le quedó a U2 de España, antes de continuar su gira por Europa. Los afortunados que presenciaron el comienzo de la U2 360 Tour, sin dudas, puedan contarlo mejor.

Lo que muchos medios, al igual que nosotros, hace pocos días anunciábamos que el funeral y posible entierro de Michael Jackson sería en su casa, el conocido rancho llamado Neverland. Pues bien, no se llevará a cabo allí sino en el Staples Center de Los Ángeles, estadio de los Lakers.

El porque de esta decisión se debe a que consideraron que sería peligroso trasladar los restos del Rey del Pop hacia allí. Además, en California está legalmente prohibido realizar entierros en propiedades privadas. Además este fue el lugar donde pasó los últimos días antes de su muerte, ensayando para sus conciertos.

Según declaraciones se realizará el próximo 7 de Julio a partir de las 10 de la mañana. Como seguramente vaya una cantidad de gente muy importante, ya tienen previsto colocar pantallas gigantes afuera del estadio para el centenar de personas que quieran darle un último adiós a Michael Jackson.

Algunas cifras

Está previsto realizar una subasta con algunos de los objetos personales de Jackson. Por ejemplo los guantes blancos, los cuales tenían un sistema para encender luces en los escenarios, se venderán en alrededor de 80.000 dólares. También se subastarán un gorro negro y la chaqueta con el cinturón de oro que utilizó en el video Bad.

Era evidente que se dispararían las ventas online de Michael pero no se si tanto: El año pasado, se vendieron nada más y nada menos que 2.800.000 canciones por descargas online; y en la primer semana de su muerte, se vendió un total de 2.300.000 canciones. Todo un record ya que es la primera vez que alguien alcanza un millón de ventas en una semana.

En Julio del año 2007 (hace exactamente dos años), R.E.M. estaba presentándose en el Olympia Theatre de Dublín, Irlanda. Para todos los que hayan disfrutado de aquel espectáculo, van a poder disfrutarlo de nuevo, al igual que aquellos que no pudieron estar presentes.

Es que esta banda estadounidense lanzará el próximo otoño, un disco doble y en vivo y en él estará completo el espectáculo de R.E.M. en Dublín y se titulará “Live at the Olympia”. Recordemos que este concierto sirvió (en su momento) para comenzar a presentar los temas de lo que sería su siguiente disco: Accelerate.

Eso en otoño. Viniendo un poco más al ahora, los muchachos de R.E.M. están punto de lanzar un EP digital que incluye cuatro canciones de ese mismo concierto del año 2007, las cuatro, son además parte del disco Reckoning del año 1984. Este EP será lanzado el 7 de Julio y se titulará Reckoning Songs From the Olympia. Aquí les queda la lista de temas:

Textual, en la cuenta de Twitter de Britney Spears decía: “Britney ha fallecido hoy. Es un día triste para todos. Seguiremos informando”. Esto, además de sonarle raro a todo el que lo lea, es impactante. Imaginen las caras de los y las fans de Spears.

El asunto es que en realidad no se trataba más que una broma de mal gusto de un Hacker, quien pensó que sería divertido intentar entrar a la cuenta de Britney Spears para hacer algunos estragos. El asunto fue que lo logró. Se dice que es el mismo hacher que ya había hecho bromas de este estilo.

Lo cierto es que casi inmediatamente, se desmintió la falsa noticia y en el Twitter publicaron: “El Twitter de Britney ha sido hackeado. El mensaje anterior es obviamente falso. Ella se encuentra estupendamente, pasando un día tranquilo en casa“.

Bueno… Britney está viva y es bueno saberlo. De hecho en estos momentos se encuentra trabajando a pleno con Circus (su último trabajo). De momento, está realizando una gira por Europa (Francia, Inglaterra, Irlanda, Bélgica, Dinamarca, Suecia, Finlandia, Rusia, Polonia y Alemania) para luego dirigirse a su país (Estados Unidos). Además está presentando los videoclips del nuevo disco, el último en estrenarse fue Radar.
